For elementary band directors who are perhaps in need of a short work for a Veterans Day performance, I hope you might find Patriots on Parade to be useful. This adaptable flex band work for young band makes use of America: My Country ‘Tis of Thee as the main source material. Interspersed throughout are short two measure snippets from each of the five Armed Service songs. Ranges for most instruments stay within a one octave Bb Concert Scale. It is roughly one minute in length. Directors will need to use discretion in determining how the parts might fit their young band the best.
